ADMINISTRATION JOB OPENINGS

Superintendent/Principal

Miami R-1 School District in Miami, Missouri is looking for an energetic school leader who is willing to work hard for our students and staff to keep our school as one of the best around! We are an accredited 4-day week school with approximately 55 students, 15 staff members, and great community and parent involvement! This will be for the 2026-2027 school year and the first day for you will be July 1, 2026. Living within a 30 mile radius of the district is preferred. We are an equal opportunity employer.

CERTIFIED FACULTY OPENINGS

Elementary Education
Applicants will need to have a Missouri certification in Elementary Education 1-6.

Early Childhood Education Teachers
Applicants will need to have a Missouri certification in Early Childhood Education B-3.

Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Candidates must have valid certification in the appropriate area.

Middle School ELA
Candidates must have valid certification in the appropriate area.

Prior years of experience are given (salary schedule found on website) with board paid health insurance along with district participation in Career Ladder.

A working knowledge base of Response to Intervention practices, analyzing assessment data, and evidenced based learning strategies would be preferred. The applicant will also need to be able to collaborate effectively with other team members utilizing effective communication skills.

SUPPORT STAFF OPENINGS

Full-Time Custodian

The job may include daytime or night-time work depending upon the need.
Individuals need to be able to wax the floors during the summer.
An added bonus if the individual can also drive a bus.
Full-time openings include board paid health insurance, life insurance, and retirement.

Miami R-1 is an accredited PK-8th grade rural school in Saline County with an average class size of 8 students.
The District enjoys a Tuesday through Friday work week with professional development one Monday per month.
